DESIGN SERVICES AVAILABLE
PEACOCK DESIGN has completed design work for over 300 projects, for both private and commercial clients over a wide geographical area including: Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear, Durham, Teesside, Cheshire, Norfolk, London and Scotland, so where ever you live do get in touch. Below is a brief description of the design services available:
INITIAL 'NO OBLIGATION' CONSULTATION: To discuss your requirements and view our portfolio, this usually takes place at the site to be landscaped, so the existing levels, access and features can be seen. Depending on location of the site, this first meeting is often free.
SITE SURVEY / BASE PLAN: Measured site survey, levels, notes and photographs of existing site, preparation of scaled base plan from survey information as a basis for all further design work.
INITIAL DESIGN IDEAS: Preparation of 'sketch scribbles' showing a range of design options. This stage usually includes a client consultation to discuss layout options and to determine which one to develop further.
MASTER PLAN: Development of chosen 'sketch scribble' to final agreed design layout, including visuals, sections, perspectives, basic planting and building material notes as necessary to illustrate proposal. A client consultation to discuss master plan and any minor changes required is included. Please note any major changes at this stage will be charged as additional design work at an hourly rate.
DETAILED DESIGN OF 'HARD' LANDSCAPING: Preparation of layout plan and construction details, both with dimensions and specification notes for all paving, water features, features and built structures.
DETAILED DESIGN OF 'SOFT' LANDSCAPING: Preparation of planting plan, plant schedule and specification notes.
PROJECT COSTS: Preparation of letters and drawing packages as necessary to obtain detailed quotations for required site work from local reputable landscape contractors and specialist wholesale plant nurseries, with whom I have worked successfully over the years.
'ON SITE' SUPERVISION: Includes marking out the layout on site, checking contractors work, plant deliveries, laying out plants as per plans etc.
CLIENT CONSULTATIONS: Additional meetings, with among others; clients, architects, tree surgeons, contractors, general public, planners etc.
PRINTING COSTS: All prints of drawings above A4 in size, from specialist printers, will be charged at cost plus time involved in acquiring them.
Please note the above is not prescriptive, we can help as little or as much as you want, from an hours 'chat' through to getting every last daffodil bulb planted.
Once we have a idea of what design work you require, a quotation based on an hourly rate would be provided prior to any work being started. Larger or complicated projects and all travelling time will be charged at exact hours worked / travelled. Payment for completed work is due within seven days of the date on invoice.
